General Information

The program will run in July and Augsust. Dependent on registered participants and schedules most weeks there will be two to three scheduled sessions (e.g. one to two evening and one weekend TBD). Thus, there will be the potential of 30 sessions to choose from in both daytime and evening sessions. As older teens (17+) and adults sign up, schedules will be posted and group sessions will be set up to maximize time on the water. Participants will have the opportunity on a first come basis to join Saturday open regattas at no cost. Sessions are 2.5 - 3 hours in duration. Pricing includes 10 sessions so you may schedule in your available time during these weeks. There are on land training and on water sessions, depending upon the weather. If sailing session is on a Monday or Wednesday a barbeque or light dinner with Yacht Club skippers and members follows each sailing session. At the first night’s in-class session we will let you know what to bring and what to wear for the sailing sessions. Please advise us in advance if you do not have your own Transport Canada approved Personal Flotation Device (lifejacket). In order to qualify for the Introductory Membership of $75, a non-member adult dinghy or adult keelboat package must be purchased (at the non-member rate).
