Adult (17+) Learn to Sail - Dinghy

Learning to sail a dinghy is an exhilarating challenge, participants must be prepared to swim and undertake strenuous physical activity. In this program, participants will receive instruction from our Youth Sailing School Instructors on how to sail single-handed dinghies - Lasers, and/or two-handed dinghies (Club 420, Feva, or Quest).

This program runs on Mondays from 6:00 - 8:30pm, July 8 through August 26 and is designed for physically fit Adults 17+.

A series of evening lessons will be offered over the course of 8 weeks. During the first week, participants will be required to attend a mandatory on-land classroom lesson.  This lesson will cover what to wear, safety, theory and rigging. All participants must bring their own Transport Canada approved Personal Flotation Device (lifejacket).

If the instructors deem the weather to be unsuitable for sailing, make-up sessions will be offered on Tuesdays during the final week(s) of the program as required.
